Most of these courses are designed for children.
As with a foreign language, the best time to learn music is during childhood.
However, there are also courses designed for adults.
The problem with adults is that they want immediate results.

Here is an actual conversation that never took place. . . .
Adult:   How long before I can play "Flight Of The Bumblebee" on piano?
Teacher:   When I try out for the Olympics, you can play it during my gymnastics routine.
