Allegro Music Academy's

First Student

Allegro Music Academy of Dallas opened for business in January 2005.
That month it had a grand total of . . . zero students.
February saw a great increase in enrollment, closing with  . . . one student.
She was a flautist who had started band in junior high, but then was homeschooled,
leaving her without a group to play in.

At Allegro, she sang in Goodtime Singers and played in a duo called Jill & Kati.
(The inspriation for that name is left as an exercise for the reader.)
She did well in music, but excelled in the visual arts.
This is her pencil drawing of her teacher's hands playing his flute.
Yes, I did say pencil drawing.
