Here is a standard SNARE DRUM. In general, someone who wants to learn play any and all percussion
for band or orchestra, or just a drum kit in a pop or jazz group, begins on snare. If the learner has
parents or a roommate, there might be a certain level of annoyance caused by the practicing.
Behold the DRUM PAD. It is designed to simulate the bounce of a normal drumhead without
the "noise." This one is mounted on a cymbal stand, but it can be set on a table instead.
This one is not mountable, because it is two-faced. One side has a little tighter feel than
the other. By comparing the relative size of the drumsticks, you can see that it has a
smaller "target" to hit. That trains the player to better hit the sweet spot on the snare.
Amazing! Here is a valuable space saver! And you can get the noise with it!
This is electronic, and you can program the four pads to simulate various sounds.
That includes not just snare, toms, and other drums, but you can do a crash cymbal!
How much would you pay!? Don't answer yet, because . . .
it doesn't work anymore. . . .
