Antique Toy Drum
This contribution to the museum arrived in a paper bag. It was up to the curator to figure out
how it was supposed to be put together. Whether or not it was done correctly is, as they say,
left as an exercise to the reader.
Here are the individual components.
These seven pieces seemed to make a drum stand.
Set up and ready to play? The notches in the
stand didn't exactly line up with the bottom rim.
The sticks. This part was easy to figure out! You
can see a breach in the [paper] head where it was hit.
This appeared to be an attachable music stand. It
was tricky to put it in place gently and get it to stay.
A single stroke on the head would make it fall.
Should have hook-end springs to hold the heads on.
But there was only one. And it was too long. . . .
