Explanation Of Format Used

The Theme is my own idea, gathered from reading the book. It could change next time I read it.
The Key Verse is likewise.
The Author is often stated in the text; where it is not I show the best guess, from internal and external evidence.
The Date is also the best guess, from internal and external evidence.
The Quotable Quote is a verse or sequence of verses that either further illustrates the theme, states an important biblical principle, or for any other reason seems worth remembering.
The Chapter Summary consists of single sentences that simplify the remembering of the contents of the book, chapter by chapter. Where the book consists of a single chapter (i.e. is not divided into chapters), the null symbol (ø ) is used in place of a chapter number.

The translation used is the New American Standard Bible, with the exception that I have replaced archaic pronouns (e.g. Thou), used only when referring to God, with their modern equivalents (e.g. You).
Quotation marks are only used when the words are being spoken by someone other than the author of the book.
When the word "LORD" or the word "GOD" appears in small caps in Old Testament quotes, it indicates that the original Hebrew contains the "tetragrammaton", i.e. the personal name of God.
When words appear in variable font, it indicates that these words do not appear in the original Hebrew or Greek, but were considered by the translators to be necessary for the text to make sense in English.
